Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Childcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality childcare and be committed to ensuring the individual needs of children are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Child Development: Ensure the individual needs of children are identified and met to the highest standards, fostering a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Adhere to company policies, procedures, and operational practices at all times with particular attention paid to occupational Health and Safety, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive working relationships with children, staff, and parents, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Hold a Childcare Degree Qualification Award Level 6 or higher from a recognized body, ensuring a strong foundation in childcare principles and practices.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a childcare setting, providing hands-on experience in delivering high-quality care and education.
  • Career Growth: Demonstrate a desire to learn progressively throughout your career, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Curriculum Knowledge: Be familiar with the Aistear Curriculum and Siolta quality Framework, ensuring alignment with national standards and regulations.
  • Certifications: Possess a Manual Handling and Occupational First Aid certificate, enhancing your ability to respond to emergencies and promote a safe working environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit good communication skills: fluency in both spoken and written English, facilitating effective communication with children, staff, and parents.
