  • The role of 2D Background Team Lead requires a candidate with extensive experience and expertise in the animation production process, specifically in background creation.
  • Key responsibilities include leading a team of background artists, scheduling work to meet deadlines, attending project meetings, reviewing storyboards and animatics, and ensuring final approved backgrounds are saved in the correct folders.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a background artist, strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, and excellent drawing skills.
  • Additionally, they must possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and proactive, with the ability to work collaboratively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can lead our background team to deliver high-quality results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a background artist.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
  • Excellent drawing skills and a broad range of drawing styles.
  • Excellent communication skills; task-driven, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Open to direction and able to work collaboratively on multiple tasks in a fast-paced production.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
