System Incident Recovery Specialist

This is a critical role in our organization, requiring an individual who can rapidly develop a comprehensive understanding of a customer's environment and implement architectural changes in real time. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT with experience in systems administration, network engineering, and incident response. They will also possess excellent troubleshooting skills, be able to analyze complex problems, and implement effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and resolve complex system incidents
  • Implement architectural changes to system infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address system vulnerabilities

The System Incident Recovery Specialist will be responsible for leading crisis efforts during system incidents, working on systems in various compromised states to assist the security investigation, while also working on recovery elements, including isolating, rebuilding and securing infrastructure, restoring data, and implementing preventative controls.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products, including Windows Server, Exchange, System Center Configuration Manager, and SharePoint
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere and Hyper-V
  • Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, load balancing, and firewalls
  • Knowledge of server hardware, including Dell, HPE, and Lenovo
  • Experience with backup software, including Veeam and Commvault
