Our ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects across all aspects of the business from a construction perspective. This entails overseeing the execution of multiple projects within both urban and rural environments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget frameworks. The successful individual will be responsible for delivering projects with a strong focus on health and safety, compliance, reporting, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for running numerous projects within urban and rural environments.
  • Liaise and correspond with clients and their representatives to ensure the successful delivery of projects and foster relationships.
  • Review drawings with high levels of detail, amending designs as necessary based on received feedback.
  • Create an environment of leadership within the project site team.
  • Liaise with contracts managers and site agents to manage work and site resource requirements.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met while building confidence and trust.
  • Continuously improve project processes by interrogating and implementing best practices.
  • Apply new technology innovatively to create new services and streamline delivery processes.
  • Mentor designers and identify training needs for junior site team members.
  • Monitor progress of site work, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Plan and oversee the delivery of materials, managing discrepancies where necessary.
  • Ensure that all work complies with client requirements and safety legislation.
  • Oversee traffic management and health and safety on-site, ensuring all necessary checks are completed.
Requirements
  • Full clean driver's license essential.
  • A qualification in engineering or equivalent is desirable.
  • Experience in civils, drainage, or utilities (water & electricity) is required.
  • Previous experience and ability to read designs.
  • Commercial awareness of project costs.
  • Experience with site activities and multiple teams.
  • Good knowledge of HSQE requirements.
  • Computer literate.
  • Confident, motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills to meet targets.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy.
