Senior Accounting Specialist Opportunity

This role is ideal for an accounting professional seeking a challenging opportunity where they can utilize their expertise to drive financial excellence. As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a key part in supporting the production of life-changing products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory costing and experience with SAP. They should also be comfortable working with Hyperion and advanced Excel skills. A track record of driving process improvements and thriving in fast-paced environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end close processes, including overhead treatment, reconciliations, and close deliverables under US GAAP.
  • Oversee manufacturing activity accounting—covering material purchases, contract manufacturing, and overhead absorption.
  • Manage intercompany inventory transactions, including Profit in Inventory (PII) eliminations.
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate costing, from raw material flow to fill/finish stages.
  • Evaluate inventory balances, set reserves, and monitor variances to keep financial reporting sharp and actionable.
  • Take ownership of new product costing, standard cost setting, and inventory accuracy across global sites.
  • Maintain robust internal controls in line with SOX and corporate standards, while partnering with auditors.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ERP enhancements, and global finance projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with SAP.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Track record of driving process improvements.
