Job DescriptionThe role of Building Services Engineer involves designing, managing, and coordinating production of all Building Services systems, including HVAC, utilities, plumbing, and fire protection for large-scale projects. The successful candidate will lead the design from concept to handover, attend design team meetings, conduct onsite inspections, develop and guide team members, liaise with the wider project team, and ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Design and manage Building Services systems, including HVAC, utilities, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Lead the design team and coordinate production of Building Services systems.
- Conduct onsite inspections and ensure designs meet applicable codes and standards.
- Develop and guide team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 10+ years' experience in the design of Building Services systems, preferably in a consultancy environment in the pharmaceutical or allied sectors.
- Competent in design software such as Fluid Flow or Pipe-Flo.
- Honours degree (NFQ Level 8 for Ireland) in Building Services or Mechanical engineering.
- Experience of working in a collaborative BIM environment.
