Due to our continued success, we are seeking a Building Services Designer with industrial project expertise to join our team. You will be part of a design team led by a senior engineer, supporting projects of various scales. As a member of the Building Services Department, you'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across Europe and advance your career within a respected and established company in design engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Act as Lead Building Services Designer on small to medium projects or as a Senior Designer on large projects, with potential to become the Building Services Design Team Lead within a multi-disciplinary project delivery team.
  • 3D modeling and design of ductwork, utility pipework, and equipment.
  • Develop technical descriptions, drawings, complex piping and ductwork plans, isometric sketches, and electronic models for equipment, in accordance with project requirements, codes, standards, and procedures.
  • Perform duct and pipe sizing calculations.
  • Present and lead 3D model reviews with client teams and stakeholders.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolution of services.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams on global projects, ensuring coordination aligns across teams, clients, and external parties.
  • Ensure designs comply with Irish Building Regulations, CIBSE Design Guides, British Standards, and Health & Safety Regulations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical services engineering design, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (NFQ Level 7 Ireland / FHEQ Level 5 UK).
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
