Job Summary

A Warehouse Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient management of warehouse operations. This involves receiving, processing, and dispatching stock and materials, as well as coordinating logistics to meet customer demands.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Comply with established procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Maintain accountability for performance metrics to ensure outputs align with organizational KPIs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for shipping inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and internal stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.
  • Proactively identify and escalate potential issues to minimize risks and optimize performance.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions to address operational inefficiencies.
  • Manage inventory levels by locating, labeling, and storing materials and supplies effectively.
  • Locate and verify accurate products, quantities, and serial numbers for customer orders.
  • Loading and unloading delivery trucks, ensuring that incoming deliveries match purchase orders.
  • Assist in reviewing pick sheets based on customer orders and pulling the correct products for each order.
  • Move stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas manually or using equipment like forklifts.
  • Ensure accuracy in Oracle and shipping software transactions.
  • Plan the layout of stockrooms, warehouses, and other storage areas considering safety, turnover, size, weight, sub-inventory, replenishment methods, visual organization, and related factors of items stored.
  • Advise employees on safe equipment operation and behavior, as well as requirements for safety in the warehouse.
  • Provide guidance on item care and preservation, handling, storing, counting, maintaining, and issuing stock; and related matters.
  • Review records for accuracy and compliance with established procedures, and determine adequacy of stock levels.
  • Organize and schedule work for cycle count and periodic inventories.
  • Determine discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions.
  • Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
  • Assign duties and examine work for accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve safety and efficiency of subordinates.
  • Enter data and generate reports based upon individual entries or issues by subordinates.
