Job Summary:

The Transportation Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the yard, ensuring the secure, efficient, safe, and smooth delivery of goods to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the yard, including deliveries and collections for both retail and trade customers.
  • Ensure that customers receive a high standard of customer service.
  • Organize the loading and unloading of goods in line with health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and monitor stock levels to ensure accurate inventory management.
  • Supervise employees in an efficient and effective manner, providing guidance and support where necessary.
  • Monitor and improve the efficiency and productivity of the yard, reducing costs and improving overall performance.
