Transport and Yard Supervisor

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Transport and Yard Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of the yard, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the yard, including loading and unloading goods, coordinating deliveries and collections, and maintaining accurate records.

You will work closely with our drivers and other yard staff to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard and that our customers receive excellent service.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a builders' merchanting industry environment. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a transport or yard management role
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Previous experience working in a builders' merchanting industry environment is desirable
