Job Description

Clarity is recruiting for General Nurses to work in the Public Health Nursing team as community nurses with the HSE in South City Dublin.

This opportunity is ideal for nurses considering a career in public health nursing. As a community nurse, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing healthcare services to clients in their homes and clinics.

The work base will be the Primary Care Centre, where care is delivered in both home and clinic settings. Travel around South Dublin is necessary for this post, and staff are eligible to claim travel allowance for work-related travel.

Hours can be negotiated and part-time availability is offered. Onsite training and orientation will be provided by HSE staff, and excellent upskilling educational opportunities are available.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Access to own transport is required for this post.
  • Work authorisation is mandatory.
  • NMBI registration as an RGN.
  • Community nursing experience is preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities

As a community nurse, your responsibilities will include:

  • Wound care management – both in clinic and in the domiciliary setting.
  • Diabetes management.
  • Incontinence assessment and management.
  • Nursing assessment post hospital discharge/GP referral.
  • General nursing care for the chronically ill or disabled.
  • Oncology support and end of life care.
  • Nursing assessment for home supports.
