Telecommunication Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Engineer to join our team.


About the Role:
  • This is a Telecommunication Engineer position that requires hands-on experience with mobile device testing, handset testing, and prototype models.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in field testing, sanity testing, feature testing, functional testing, system testing, device flashing, compatibility testing, retesting, regression testing, performance testing, load testing, stress testing, mobility and stationary testing of 2G/3G/4G LTE smartphones in mobile handsets.
  • Responsibilities include device acquisition, flashing on latest software, performing stationary and mobility testing, network testing.
  • A successful candidate will also conduct UI testing, integration testing, regression testing, network testing, 2G/3G/4G/LTE testing.
  • Log capturing using logging tools like QxDM, ELT, Wireshark, ADB, ODL.
  • Network-related protocol testing on different national operators.
  • Debugging analysis in LTE and VoLTE technologies for finding possible root causes.
  • This role involves executing field test cases to verify call performance, voice quality, handovers, and data performance and location functionality of mobile phones.
  • End-user product testing and benchmarking of mobile phone products, performance, and location functionality of mobile phones.
  • Testing call quality on 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
  • The selected candidate will provide full R&D support and maintenance for pre- and post-launch products, including reproduction and diagnosis of problems.
  • The job includes preparing bug and test summary reports, executing test cases on GSM, WCDMA/UMTS, LTE, IRAT, and VoLTE, involvement in test plan preparation, and preparation of test strategy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in mobile device testing, handset testing, and prototype models.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
