Environmental Sustainability Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the environmental management of a major Civil Engineering project. This includes ensuring compliance with all environmental regulations and sustainability standards, as well as developing and implementing an Environmental Management Plan (EMP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all environmental regulations and sustainability standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Environmental Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential environmental impacts and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Waste Management: Implement effective waste management practices to minimize environmental impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and clients to ensure environmental requirements are met.
  • Training and Development: Provide environmental training and guidance to project staff to promote a culture of sustainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with a focus on airfield and industrial projects.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Irish environmental regulations and standards.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, and proficiency in environmental management systems (EMS) and related software tools.
