Investment Reporting Specialist

The Investment Reporting Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining relationships with internal and external clients by providing accurate and timely investor reporting.

  • Collaborate closely with various teams, including investor/fund administrator, trade management and treasury, to facilitate the receipt, disbursement and reconciliation of borrower funds during loan pre-funding and funding periods.
  • Develop and prepare daily and periodic investment reports, including valuations, investor remittance files and other financial statements, while coordinating with both internal and external parties related to reporting.
  • Work effectively with Loan Services' operational groups and the Data Integrity Team to resolve daily data transmission and feed issues through communication, research and problem-solving.
  • Review bank account reconciliations, investor files and wire transfers for accuracy to ensure seamless financial transactions.
  • Interpret investment management & servicing agreements, regulations, standard operating procedures and loan documents to guarantee compliance with accounting and reporting requirements, preparing necessary journal entries based on reconciliations.
  • Participate in new investor meetings and contribute to creating project plans, collaborating closely with high-profile global investors and funds.
  • Identify process efficiencies, including automation of reporting and data feeds, write project plans and lead execution of these plans.
  • Assist with audits such as RegAB, SOC1, SOX, and other internal and external audits.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate or Accounting is preferred.
  • Accounting or Finance experience is required.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work based on established deadlines, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and effectively collaborate in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Accounting Information Systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word), PowerBI, and Microsoft SQL would be advantageous.
