Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist to join our clinical team in a new model of collaborative, patient-first care. The successful candidate will work closely with Consultant Ophthalmologists, technicians, nurses, and service leads to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead compassionate, high-quality patient care across every stage of the ophthalmic journey.
  • Take ownership of diagnostics, clinical decisions, and case management — with full autonomy and support.
  • Drive innovation in pre- and post-operative cataract care, shaping what outstanding looks like.
  • Be the trusted expert who provides clarity, comfort, and confidence to patients and caregivers.
  • Mentor, teach, and uplift others — building clinical excellence from within.
  • Use advanced technology and contribute to modernising systems, protocols, and pathways.
  • Be an active player in a disruptive healthcare network that values your insight and ambition.
Requirements
  • CORU registration + professional indemnity insurance.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience post-qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in cataract co-management.
  • Familiarity with Irish healthcare systems and private sector dynamics.
  • Comfort with new tech platforms and electronic patient records.
  • Flexibility to travel across our growing network of clinical sites.
Bonus Points For
  • Postgrad certifications or special interest in Medical Retina, Glaucoma, or OCT interpretation.
  • Experience in public or private hospital eye care.
  • Confidence supervising early-career optometrists.
  • Knowledge of dementia care or geriatrics.
  • Audit, clinical governance or teaching experience.
