Mechanical Equipment Specialist

This role is responsible for the upkeep of mechanical facilities and equipment, working closely with maintenance teams to ensure smooth operation.

  • Coordinating maintenance schedules with Utilities Department and Engineering Department;
  • Sourcing service vendors for routine maintenance tasks;
  • Liaising with discipline leads to optimize execution of Maintenance activities;
  • Verifying all safety procedures are in place before commencing maintenance works related to mechanical utilities;
  • Developing cost-saving initiatives on utilities systems;
  • Updating technical documents and drawings to reflect changes required for efficient operation;
  • Carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance on operational equipment;
  • Proactively solving operational issues to prevent future problems;
  • Addressing any equipment or operational issues promptly;
  • Planning and scheduling maintenance activities as needed;
  • Operating and Maintaining utility systems effectively;

The ideal candidate will possess relevant apprenticeship or 3rd-level qualifications and have at least 3 years' experience in Mechanical utilities or process maintenance. They must also be familiar with the Pharmaceutical or Biologics industry and have a solid understanding of Mechanical principles.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this position, the candidate must have:

  • At least 3 years' experience in Mechanical utilities or process maintenance;
  • Familiarity with the Pharmaceutical or Biologics industry;
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical principles;
  • The ability to read technical drawings and system P&ID's;
  • Awareness of GMP practices;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to maintain accurate records in accordance with established procedures;
