Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Night Duty Manager for a busy 4-star hotel in Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and dependable hospitality professional to take full responsibility for hotel operations during the night shift.

As the senior manager on duty, you will oversee all departments, ensure the safety and security of guests and staff, and maintain the highest standards of service throughout the night. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all hotel operations during the night, acting as the senior manager on duty
  • Supervising and supporting front desk and night audit operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and guest records
  • Managing guest arrivals, departures, late check-ins, and special requests with professionalism and warmth
  • Conducting regular property walks to ensure security, safety, and cleanliness standards are maintained
  • Handling and resolving guest complaints or incidents promptly, escalating where necessary
  • Coordinating with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B teams to address overnight operational needs
  • Completing and verifying night audit reports, reconciling daily transactions and preparing handovers for morning management
  • Monitoring staff performance, providing guidance, and ensuring all night shift team members adhere to hotel policies and SOPs
  • Taking charge in any emergency situation, including fire alarms, evacuations, or first aid incidents
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience as a Night Manager or Night Supervisor in a hotel environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Hotsoft (or similar property management system)
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, make confident decisions, and remain calm under pressure
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Strong organisational skills, accuracy in reporting, and a keen eye for detail
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service
