Accounting Specialist Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced accounting professional to join our organization in Kilkenny. As an accounting specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance to clients, managing key accounting functions, and overseeing financial reporting and compliance.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients to deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements compliant with FRS 102 and IFRS standards.
  • Manage corporation tax and income tax filings with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of financial statements to regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct thorough file reviews to maintain compliance and accuracy of all documentation.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior accountants to foster professional growth and high-quality performance.
  • Identify client challenges and provide tailored solutions to enhance business outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) with 2 years PQE.
  • Proven experience working in an accountancy practice, preferably with client portfolio management.
  • Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS standards.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to anticipate and address client needs.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to develop junior staff.
