Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic professional to work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health service for children and adolescents with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment and support to individuals through the delivery of evidence-based treatment and recovery orientated interventions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans.

As a Mental Health Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes positive outcomes for individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health disorders.

Requirements:
  • Be a registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year's post-registration full-time experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made.
  • Have a minimum of 1 year's experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in the specialist area of CAMHS or Intellectual Disability.
  • Have successfully completed a post-registration program of study, as certified by the education provider, which verifies that the applicant has achieved a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 9 or higher award that is relevant to the specialist area of care.
  • Be required to demonstrate ongoing professional development (CPD) relevant to the specialist area or commit to obtaining the required CPD.
