Job Title: Senior Estimator

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Estimator

A senior estimator is responsible for the management of tenders by researching and gathering all relevant information, win work by completing and submitting competitive tenders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with various departments within the company to ensure the effective execution of estimating duties.
  • Process initial inquiries and prepare tender submissions in a timely manner.
  • Manage project costs, create cost value comparisons and projected final accounts.
  • Review, approve, and sign off weekly/monthly invoices/orders related to labour, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Research, source, and negotiate best quotes from suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Liaise with key members of the project team and clients/subcontractors.
  • Prepare take-offs, undertake estimates, and finalize account settlements.
  • Enhance enquiries sent to the supply chain, organize bills of quantities production, and obtain material quotes when necessary.
  • Monitor sub-contractor performance and document additional works for presentation to project teams.

Requirements:

  • Hold a higher-level qualification in Engineering or a construction-related field.
  • Possess 5+ years of estimation experience.
  • Have extensive experience in the Fit-Out sector.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
