Job Overview:

This is a senior mechanical engineer position that requires leadership skills to manage large projects from concept to completion.

  • We are seeking an experienced professional who can develop innovative design solutions for new projects.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to interface with clients and team members.
  • Degree in Building services or Mechanical Engineering is required, along with significant experience in the pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or Chemical industry.
  • A successful candidate will have led teams, invested time in coaching and developing future leaders, and have strong design experience of Utilities; including Steam, LPHW, CHW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing innovative design solutions for new projects.
  • Interfacing with client design team/end user.
  • Lead Technical and Safety reviews.
  • Design of Building services engineering design - lead the preparation of AFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing calculations.
  • Managing people in the execution of the project life cycle.
  • Overseeing HVAC system BIM modelling progress by your team.
  • Planning resources, measuring and reporting of progress of resources against agreed deliverables.
  • Estimating resource requirements for projects through the life cycle.
  • Delivery of agreed design scope within budget hours and schedule.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Building services or Mechanical Engineering (Level 8).
  • Significant design experience in the pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical or Chemical industry.
  • Led teams, investing time in coaching and developing future leaders.
  • Strong design experience of Utilities; including Steam, LPHW, CHW.
  • Ability to work and guide teams is essential.
