We're seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory staff, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met in our Central Laboratory.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, analyzing, and reporting results of clinical trial patient samples in our Clinical Chemistry Laboratories. They will also work closely with our team to operate equipment carefully and according to procedures, maintaining laboratory automation equipment per established operating procedures.

You will be part of a collaborative team that embraces process improvement, focusing on streamlining processes to add value to our business and meet client needs. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in maintaining complete documentation for assay tracking and results for review/reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment and instruments to meet performance standards
  • Perform necessary equipment checks, performance testing, preventive maintenance, and quality control on equipment per laboratory guidelines
  • Assure accuracy of all tests performed by adhering to the laboratory's Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures
  • Participate in the Proficiency Testing Program as assigned
  • Troubleshoot instrument-related issues as they occur

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent, along with 3+ years of experience working in a Hematology laboratory. Experience in peripheral blood film morphology is desirable.
