Job Opportunity:

The National Centre for Development Strength and Conditioning Practitioner will play a key role in delivering coaching initiatives within the Performance programme, as part of Swim Ireland's strategy for international success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support athletes to transition towards a Performance environment, enabling them to succeed on the international stage.
  • Plan for and attend swim meets and/or camps to support National Centre, National Programme and/or Regional Squad/Programme athletes as required.
  • Fulfill contracted hours, which may include unsocial hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Travel within Ireland for meetings and secondments as necessary.
  • Maintain a recognised UKSCA and/or NSCA coaching qualification/accreditation or display capability to attain such within the contract term.
Essential Qualities:
  • A passion for developing a Performance programme and a desire to be part of athlete development journeys.
  • Personality and character that can develop into leadership, with ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with athletes and partners.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to direct short-term and long-term programme development.
