Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Fitter to join our team of engineers who design and build bespoke manufacturing equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress to Team Lead with a growing firm part of a multi-national group.

  • Install electrical components and wiring in accordance with schematic diagrams.
  • Install pneumatic components, pipework, and equipment in accordance with pneumatics diagrams.
  • Prepare and assemble cable and pipe ways, bracketing and support systems.
  • Connect electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
  • Perform pre-commissioning checks and testing.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance of systems by routine inspection.
  • Perform effective diagnostics to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged components.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  • Proven experience as an electrical fitter.
  • Proven experience wiring control panels, PLC, Servo/Stepper motors and controls etc.
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems/automation and controls systems.
  • Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.).
  • Ability to follow and understand electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to guide Junior Electrical Assembly Technicians on their day-to-day tasks.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and applicable regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Good health, physically mobile, happy and able to work in a variety of industrial environments.
  • Relevant vocational training or completion of an apprenticeship as an electrician.
