The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland is a community-based organization providing services to people with intellectual disabilities. We are seeking Support Workers to join our team in various locations throughout County Roscommon.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals with their daily living needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and promoting independence and development of skills. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve individual person-centred plans and support participation in community activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who possess good communication, interpersonal, and team-working skills. A recognized qualification in the field of intellectual disability or equivalent experience is desirable. Proficiency in IT and fluency in verbal and written English are essential requirements.

Working Hours and Tenure

The appointment is proposed to set up a locum panel of Support Workers who will be called if and when required to cover for staff on various leave within the Services.

Probationary Period

A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period if the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment. The probation period may be extended at the Employer's discretion.
