Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychology and experience working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and display challenging behaviours.

The Behaviour Support Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized support plans, providing training and on-the-ground support to frontline staff, and collaborating with external agencies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive behaviour support plans for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
  • Provide training and coaching to frontline staff on positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Engage with families and carers to provide support and guidance.
  • Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a PBS specialist role within a disability organisation.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective behaviour support plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold a full clean driving license and have access to a car.
