Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Manager

The Environmental Health and Safety Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements in environmental, health, and safety management systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems that align with the highest industry standards and comply with corporate policies.
  • Promote and facilitate high standards of environmental, health, and safety performance across all activities on site by fostering a culture of awareness and compliance.
  • Manage process safety management systems effectively.
  • Report EHS information to relevant stakeholders in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Conduct regular site safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant safety and environmental legislations and regulations.
  • Plan and deliver annual safety and environmental training programs in partnership with HR.
  • Provide staff with relevant training associated with new SOPs, health, and safety issues, and/or environmental issues.
  • Develop site safety and environment policies and procedures in conjunction with the Corporate Safety and Environment Group.
  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partner in occupational health initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Formal safety qualification.
  • Previous relevant industrial experience in pharmaceutical or related industries.
  • Experience in IPPC license, GHG permit compliance, and ISO 14001 implementation and operation is beneficial.
  • Strong EHS leadership skills with previous managerial experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and EHS management systems.
  • Creative in developing new safety and environmental programs and solutions.
  • Proven ability to provide direction to employees, establish overall objectives, and resources available, define missions and functions to employees.
