Job Title: Radar Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radar Systems Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and providing operational support for critical communications, radar, and electronic navigation systems on Naval Service vessels and shore-based facilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and be able to work effectively in a dynamic environment. The role involves leading teams, managing equipment, and participating in emergency response and damage control duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, repair, and provide operational support for critical communications, radar, and electronic navigation systems.
  • Manage the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of all onboard communication and navigation equipment.
  • Participate in emergency response and damage control duties, including firefighting and other exercises.
  • Lead teams and manage equipment in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

  • Citizenship: Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in Ireland
  • Character & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards
  • Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 39 years of age on the date of application
  • Qualifications (or equivalent): B. Eng in Electronic Engineering (HETAC Level 7), B. Eng in Marine Electrotechnology (HETAC Level 7) or a national equivalent, subject to review and approval by the Naval Service
