Technical Recovery Specialist

This is a challenging opportunity to join our team as we continue to develop and implement Cyber Recovery solutions for our clients.

  1. The role involves working with our infrastructure provider to develop Kyndryl Technical Recovery Plans (TRPs) which document how the managed infrastructure will be restored, recovered, validated, and handed over to the client's application support teams.
  2. The customer is implementing a Cyber Recovery solution using Dell Storage and backup products to protect against logical corruption incidents such as ransomware.

The TRPs involve:

  1. Discovery using available information (CMDB, DR Plans, etc.)
  2. Working with technical SMEs to understand and document the recovery
  3. Review and approval with stakeholders
  4. Participating in desktop walkthrough exercises of the TRPs

This is an exciting project that requires strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in producing Runbooks, preferably Recovery / Disaster Recovery type documents.

Key Requirements:

  • Broad understanding of technical infrastructure including Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, AS400, Mainframe, VMware, Oracle, DB2, SQL, Exchange
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with technical SMEs
  • Ability to produce high-quality documents with good attention to detail
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple documents simultaneously

The project is expected to run until July 2025, and the customer is in the financial services sector, requiring pre-employment screening.
