Mechanical and Electrical Engineer – Water Project Expertise
Job OpportunityThe ideal candidate will possess expertise in reviewing, advising, and supervising the installation of MEICA Project installations at water facilities.
Key responsibilities include driving project delivery on behalf of Uisce Éireann, focusing on health and safety, timely delivery, cost management, and ensuring projects meet specified quality standards.
- Supervise the works to ensure compliance with contract documents, applicable specifications, and required testing.
- Monitor and report works progress to Employer's Requirements.
- Ensure informed decision-making by Uisce Éireann representatives, project managers, and relevant stakeholders regarding site-specific issues.
- Implement safety policies and standards for construction projects.
- Review and comment on HSQE documentation, such as RAMS and TMP.
- Carry out documented weekly health and safety site reviews and follow up on close-out of health and safety issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 7 years' postgraduate experience with 4 years in site supervision, contract administration, and project management of MEICA works on water engineering projects.
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering works, mechanical and electrical systems, design build operate projects, and project management.
- Excellent communication skills for writing clear reports and keeping accurate records.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
