Career Opportunity: Health and Safety Professional - Recycling Sector in Cork.

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our recycling team as a Health and Safety Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety principles and practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under guidance. They will also possess relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, inductions, and risk assessments.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and management to ensure a strong safety culture within the organization.
  • Provide clear guidance and support to colleagues on health and safety matters.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH or IOSH).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable).
