Gallery Producer Job Description

The Gallery Producer plays a pivotal role in crafting the live output of Ireland AM, the flagship morning show.

This fast-paced and dynamic position involves real-time decision-making, editorial direction, managing live content, and ensuring high broadcast standards are maintained.

The successful candidate will be proactive, highly creative, and able to work under pressure with strong editorial judgment and problem-solving skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Guide programme editorial under the direction of the Supervising Producer.
  • Produce the live output of Ireland AM, providing editorial direction to the production team and presenters.
  • Oversee forward planning, including identifying great stories, booking talent, and managing future events.
  • Collaborate closely with the Supervising Producer to develop new content ideas.
  • Supervise gallery operations to ensure smooth execution of live shows.
  • Develop impactful segments that align with the Ireland AM brand.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent editorial judgment, strong communication skills, and experience working in daytime TV, particularly with live broadcasts.
