Job Description

The role of Financial Controller is pivotal in shaping the financial environment within our organisation. This key position oversees the Groups financial and management accounting function, ensuring seamless execution of monthly and annual reporting.

As a member of the senior management team, the Financial Controller will work closely with all departments to set the strategic direction of the Group. This involves driving budget, supporting long-term financial strategy, and spearheading commercial development initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities include leading the finance team, managing internal and external reporting requirements, providing technical guidance on accounting matters, and preparing analysis of the Groups Financial Statements.

Additionally, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the Groups taxation affairs, collaborating with statutory auditors, and ensuring timely compliance with audit requirements.

Strong leadership skills are essential in this role, as the successful candidate will lead the assessment of business development opportunities, support business growth activities, and champion continuous improvement in systems and processes.

Requirements

To excel in this role, applicants must possess a primary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related discipline, accompanied by a professional accounting qualification. A minimum of ten years' post-qualification experience in a comparable role within an organisation of similar scale and complexity is desirable.
