This role is a vital part of our expansion into the commercial & residential energy supply sector, enabling us to shape the market and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead/Support the production of residential electricity, gas, and heat prices and tariffs through strategic analysis and forecasting.
  2. Conduct competitor analysis to provide insights on market trends and developments.
  3. Work with our hedging team to manage and report on price risk, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  4. Assist in the day-to-day trading activities of the company by training as a member of our trading team, enhancing our agility and responsiveness.
  5. Collaborate with management to produce board reports on our commercial activities and exposures, providing stakeholders with valuable insights.
  6. Develop tools to help automate new or existing business processes, streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
  7. Report activities or findings in a concise and transparent manner, facilitating informed decision-making.
  8. Provide market insights to our customer base, empowering them to make informed choices.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in electricity pricing in the Irish retail market, with the ability to build up a 24hr residential tariff from first principles.
  • Be resourceful and proactive, with a self-starting attitude and a willingness to take ownership.
  • Strong problem-solving, analysis, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with strong data handling & programming skills highly desirable.
  • Ability to work with large amounts of data, think creatively, and communicate complex ideas clearly.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and able to change priorities quickly, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
