Machine Vision Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Vision Engineer to provide expertise and support to manufacturing processes. This role will involve providing technical leadership and guidance on the design, implementation, and validation of Machine Vision projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in machine vision engineering, with experience in Cognex Insight hardware/software platform, optics, lighting techniques, troubleshooting/diagnostics, and vision algorithm development.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the design, implementation, and validation of Machine Vision projects for existing and new manufacturing equipment.
  • Conduct code review/debugging of bespoke vision jobs/algorithms.
  • Implement software changes for vision systems.
  • Investigate issues and develop solutions for Machine Vision applications.
  • Perform characterization, optimization, emulation, and data analysis on proposed Vision jobs.
  • Collaborate with internal functions (e.g., QA, Operations, Engineering).
  • Standardize best machine vision practices across the site.
  • Lead vision-related projects.
  • Provide vision training for engineering personnel.
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or Science equivalent.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent desirable.
  • Minimum 3 years of machine vision engineering work experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Cognex Insight hardware/software platform.
  • Experience with optics, lighting techniques, troubleshooting/diagnostics, and vision algorithm development.
  • Extensive knowledge of vision tools and image processing techniques.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
  • Experience with GDP/GMP/GAMP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
