Senior AML Compliance Specialist
Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AML Compliance Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in managing our anti-money laundering (AML) compliance program.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as MLRO/AML Compliance Officer to a portfolio of funds, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met and that our clients' interests are protected.
- Create and maintain beneficial ownership registers for clients, filing them with the relevant authorities as required.
- Presentation of quarterly MLRO Reports to fund boards, highlighting key trends and recommendations for improvement.
- Drafting and maintenance of AML Policies and AML Risk Assessments, ensuring that our risk management framework remains robust and effective.
- Conducting annual on-site inspections at fund administrators, reporting findings to the board of directors and making recommendations as necessary.
- Delivery of ongoing and annual AML training to fund board members, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage AML risks.
- Response to financial sanctions or negative news alerts, reporting as appropriate to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Investigation of potentially suspicious transactions, reporting to the relevant authorities as needed.
- Management of assigned tasks within the Ire MLRO Service Task Manager.
- Liaison with external stakeholders on all AML/CFT matters.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years industry experience, preferably in a senior compliance role.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas.
- Strong interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with fund boards and other stakeholders.
- Experience presenting to senior management and/or board of directors, with the ability to confidently communicate key messages and insights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working as an MLRO or similar role, particularly in the funds industry, is highly desirable.
