Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing calibration and verification of production and test equipment in a manufacturing cleanroom environment or controlled Calibration lab.

About the Role:

This is a Galway-based position that requires on-site working core hours Monday to Friday with a 1pm Friday finish. The successful candidate must have previous experience working within the Calibration field with good communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform calibration and verification across a wide and diverse range of production and test equipment
  2. Maintain a daily schedule of work to be performed with minimal supervision within a monthly window
  3. Communicate calibration status with equipment owners and manage on-demand worklists
  4. Provide guidance and expertise to equipment owners on calibration processes, methods, and measurement process troubleshooting
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address equipment-related concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A time-served individual or a recognized course completed in electronic/instrumentation/mechanical or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a similar technical role preferably in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with Quality Management systems including documentation practices and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in using calibration software and tools for data entry and record keeping
