Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead strategic procurement projects within our client's Procurement Department.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of eTenders during the procurement process;
  • Advising on supply market analysis and conducting market consultations;
  • Management of procurement process of tender competitions including receipt and response of tender clarifications;
  • Acting as the procurement advisor on relevant project steering committees;
  • Liaising with both in-house and external legal advisors on the drafting of tender and contractual documentation;
  • Issuing of coordinating instructions to project SME's and evaluators;
  • Providing in-house briefing sessions to evaluators prior to evaluation meetings;
  • Coordinating and chairing dialogue meetings with tenderers;
  • Coordinating and chairing evaluation meetings with evaluators;
  • Managing the contract execution process with successful tenderers;
Requirements for the Role:
  • Knowledge of public sector regulations and utilities regulations;
  • Experience working with eTenders;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and as leader of a group;

  • Capacity to proactively and constructively contribute to team tasks;
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills;
  • Strong MS Office and MS Excel skills;
