Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Compensation Lead to oversee our payroll operations and compensation benefits.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role within a busy, team-based environment.

This role reports directly to the Head of Finance for Payroll and to the Head of HR for Compensation & Benefits

Experience within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll function and related activities, ensuring compliance with Revenue legislation.
  • Ensure efficient operation of payroll function and pursue continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain master data records for accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payrolls.
  • Prepare site payroll budget and forecasts with support from the Head of Finance.
  • Payroll KPI reporting and commentary.
  • Determine payroll accruals and prepare monthly payroll journals. Analyze variances and provide commentary.
  • Site point of contact for payroll, managing employee queries, liaising with HR on payroll matters.
  • Complete statutory filings and reports.
  • Perform additional duties and reporting as required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Manage company health insurance scheme, including provider liaison, site administration, and member communications.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking on health insurance to advise the Head of HR & Training.
  • Manage company pension plan, permanent health insurance, and death in service schemes, including provider liaison, site administration, and member communications.
  • Prepare annual benefit statement.
  • Payment to provider and reconciliation as needed.
  • Manage Total Reward Statement.
  • Implement, manage, administer, or offboard compensation & benefits schemes deemed suitable or necessary by the organization.
  • Lead Compensation & Benefits initiatives and changes onsite.
  • Stay abreast of relevant legislation around compensation and benefits.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach and respect for confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, organization abilities, and multi-tasking skills with tight deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills, including Payroll systems.
  • Experience in developing process improvements and leading change.
  • Desirable: third-level qualification in Business Studies or related discipline, IPASS, and IIPM membership.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Payroll, Compensation & Benefits within a busy, team-based environment.
