Principal Project Manager Job Description">

An exciting opportunity exists for a seasoned Principal Project Manager to join a multidisciplinary consultancy specialising in infrastructure, energy and environmental services.

This Cork-based position offers the successful candidate the chance to become part of a well-established and growing company, with the opportunity to expand their skills and gain experience across a diverse portfolio of projects. These include waste management infrastructure developments, public realm, urban development schemes and renewable energy projects.

  • Lead civil and environmental design teams to ensure timely, high-quality and cost-effective project delivery
  • Supervise, mentor and support the development of senior and junior staff
  • Prepare high-standard technical reports and tender documentation
  • Plan and manage design activities in close collaboration with Project Directors
  • Ensure all work complies with internal quality assurance processes and relevant health and safety regulations
  • Coordinate effectively with other team members across disciplines
  • Manage client relationships and maintain clear, consistent project communications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or related discipline, with Chartered Engineer status
  • A minimum of 7 years' post-graduate experience in design and project management
  • A proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary design teams
  • Strong experience in engaging with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants
  • Proficiency in developing and managing project budgets
  • Energetic and driven professional with excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • Adaptability and a collaborative approach
