Job Title: Central Expenses Vice President

Job Description

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the firm's fund expense operations, overseeing the end-to-end process of budgeting, invoice processing, accrual management, and expense reporting for a diverse portfolio of funds.

As the Vice President Central Expenses, you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and driving continuous improvements in expense-related workflows and controls.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund administration, finance, or a related field, with a proven track record in managing teams and mentoring junior staff.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the full lifecycle of fund expense processing, including budgeting, invoice approval, accruals, and payments.
  • Expense Management: Ensure timely and accurate payment processing and compliance with fund-level and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Relationships: Manage complex vendor relationships and ensure service-level agreements are met.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis between budgeted and actual expenses, and provide insights to senior management.

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related area.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in expense management or financial reporting/fund accounting.
  • Proven track record in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Familiarity with workflow and automation tools for invoice and budget processing.
