Job Title: Senior Cost Management Specialist

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Manager to join a reputable main contractor working on a prestigious new apartment development in Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established business known for delivering high-quality residential projects across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive cost plans, budgets, and forecasts for the project
  • Prepare and administer tender packages, subcontractor procurement, and contract management
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations to ensure commercial targets are met
  • Negotiate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Produce regular reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations
  • Collaborate closely with the site team to achieve cost efficiency and value engineering

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 5+ years' post-graduate experience, preferably in residential projects with a main contractor or developer
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • A proven track record in managing multi-unit housing/apartment developments
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
