Job Title:

Clinical Nurse Manager

About the Role:

The successful candidate will oversee nursing supports for national residential centres, ensuring best practice in medication management and providing clinical supervision to the nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and review of best practices in safe medication management
  • Organization and management of clinics
  • Providing clinical supervision to nursing team members
  • Development and delivery of clinical training as required
  • Support in policy development, protocols, and guidelines aligned with best practice
  • Liaison with other healthcare professionals
  • Support for health checks related to certain medications
  • Collaboration on Health/Intimate Care/Medication Plans for new admissions
  • Memorandums of understanding with external psychiatrists/professionals
  • Response to clinical needs across the service
  • Monitoring and addressing medication errors
  • Administration of depot and phlebotomy as required

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
  • Expertise in all aspects of medication management
  • Understanding of individual needs
  • Five years' experience in nursing
  • Experience working in a supportive role
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Capacity for independent work
  • Reliability and adaptability in work approach
  • Strong organizational and IT skills
  • Motivation and self-starter qualities
  • Effective time planning and organization
  • Possession of a current full driving license
