Job Title: Transport Operator

Job Description:

As a transport operator, you will be responsible for safely and reliably transporting passengers across Cork City & County. This role involves operating large passenger vehicles in accordance with road regulations.

You will need to follow scheduled timetables, routes, and stops, adjusting as necessary to meet customer needs. Providing exceptional customer service is also a key aspect of this role, including greeting passengers, answering queries, assisting boarding/disembarking, and supporting passengers with special needs.

In addition to driving duties, you will be responsible for handling ticketing, payments, and issuing boarding passes or tickets where required. Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and conducting routine pre-shift checks are also essential tasks.

Accurate logging of tachograph, fuel, mileage, maintenance, and incident reporting is also a requirement of this role. You will be expected to professionally manage passenger concerns or complaints, escalating serious incidents as necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Valid Irish Category D licence.
  • Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.
