Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious banking professional to join a leading law firm.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on a diverse range of banking and finance matters, contributing to a team with extensive experience in both domestic and international transactions.

  • Assisting with and advising on a wide range of lending transactions, including drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements for both secured and unsecured financings.
  • Providing support on debt restructuring, refinancing, and workout scenarios, including advising on distressed debt and enforcement options.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on financial services regulatory matters impacting banking transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assisting with large-scale loan portfolio sales and acquisitions, including due diligence, drafting transfer documentation, and advising on associated legal risks.
  • Advising on general corporate lending matters, including bilateral and syndicated loan facilities.
  • Conducting thorough legal due diligence in connection with various banking and finance transactions.
  • Providing clear, practical, and strategic legal advice to a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporate borrowers, and private equity funds.
  • Assisting with the coordination and management of transactions, working closely with senior solicitors and partners.
  • Undertaking comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex banking and finance issues.
  • Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, and supporting team know-how and business development initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Qualified Solicitor in Ireland. 1 - 3 years PQE. Strong academic background. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proactive and commercial approach to legal advice. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
