
Corporate Governance Advisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Administrator to provide corporate governance support services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong in-depth understanding of the importance of confidentiality, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to foster a strong culture of adherence to standards and best practices.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that our organisation adheres to ethical standards, best practices and relevant laws.
- Organise and attend meetings of the Board, its Committees and Working Groups.
- Oversee the collation of agendas for meetings, comprehensive minute taking and circulation of minutes.
- Prepare and circulate Board and Committee Meeting packs and follow up with internal stakeholders in meeting deadlines for Board.
- Maintain action lists, Board information and records and preparing statutory and other reports for relevant stakeholders both internal and external.
- Collate and maintain regular KPIs and KRIs for reporting to the Board.
- Keep the Board up to date with all relevant correspondence and communication.
- Act as a point of contact for general Board queries.
- Develop and maintain a directory of template documents for Board and ensure that they are used in a compliant manner.
- Maintain the BoardEffect Governance system, including libraries and news feeds.
- Maintain a statutory filing system (including RBO, Companies Act, Charities Regulator and AHBRA requirements) and assist with regulatory returns.
Supporting the Senior Management Team is also a key aspect of this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative support to the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team.
- Keeping the Chief Governance Legal and People Officer and the Head of Governance/Company Secretary up to date with all correspondence and communication.
- Attending internal meetings, taking minutes, compiling information and preparing reports from notes and data collected.
- Liaising with a wide range of internal and external contacts, acting as a key contact point for the Board Members.
- Reviewing policies and procedures on a regular basis and reporting to the Head of Governance/Company Secretary on statistics and making recommendations for improvements.
Additionally, you will be involved in:
- Assisting with the co-ordination of staff days, conferences, training and other events.
- Developing and assisting in designated Special Projects at the request of the Senior Management Team.
- Developing a culture of 'constant improvement' in compliance with specific focus on process, controls and systems.
Training will be provided where necessary and requested.
You will be expected to positively promote our organisation in all activities and exercise discretion in all aspects of the role.
