Job Opportunity: Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional maintenance services across various systems, including mechanical, electrical, PLC, and instrumentation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Delivering proactive and reactive maintenance initiatives.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex plant and equipment systems.
  • Carrying out diagnostics and programming on machinery.
  • Troubleshooting industrial control systems (PLCs) from leading manufacturers.
  • Supporting facilities equipment such as HVAC, compressed air, and refrigeration systems.
  • Executing preventive maintenance programs and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Monitoring equipment performance and recommending optimization strategies.

The ideal candidate will also perform workshop practices, pipework, pump and motor repairs, electrical/automation work, and instrumentation calibration.

In addition, Maintenance Specialists will participate in emergency response operations, such as fire safety, search and rescue, and spillage control.

Essential Skills:

  • A relevant trade qualification or engineering degree.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance specialist role within a manufacturing environment - preferably food/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in motor control systems, pneumatics, temperature control, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in computer-based systems and office software.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent awareness of quality, health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in performing calibrations.
  • Experience working within hazardous environments (ATEX).
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
