As a key member of our trading team, you will be responsible for operating across all short-term power and gas markets to optimise positions and maximise value from the generation portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Proactively seek to optimise trading positions in prompt electricity markets.
- Maintain and develop trading systems and processes to ensure regulatory risk is managed robustly.
- Manage contracted trading services for offshore wind farms.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and incident reporting.
- Engage positively with counterparties to foster collaborative relationships.
- Support and develop team capabilities.
- Assess new investment opportunities from a prompt perspective.
- Lead and champion company values through open communication and innovation.
- 7+ years relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Electricity and Gas markets.
- Good understanding of operational risk management in a Trading environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills at peer level and senior levels.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Strong numeric and analytical background.
