Job Role:

The Head of Trading will oversee the Profit & Loss (P&L) performance for key partners, driving revenue growth and cost efficiency.

They will be responsible for optimizing trading strategies, managing end-to-end revenue and costs, and setting clear performance targets.

Leadership skills will be crucial in delivering sustainable commercial outcomes, working closely with leading travel brands.

Reporting Structure: Director of Trading


Main Responsibilities:
  • Optimise trading performance across your P&L: accountability for setting and executing trading strategies for your partners;
  • Cost management of your P&L and geographies: making active choices to manage captive costs, chargebacks and customer service fees;
  • Revenue management of your P&L and geographies: making active choices around pricing, content management, marketing funds, loyalty campaigns, CRM campaigns, digital marketing, optimisation etc. to achieve P&L targets;
  • P&L performance targets: Establish and hit P&L performance targets across your partners;
  • Process establishment: Develop and embed processes for effective P&L and partner performance management;
  • P&L team leadership: Hire, directly manage, coach, and develop cross-domain experts within your team. Set clear expectations (e.g., OKRs), provide regular actionable feedback (e.g., via performance evaluations), and maintain a high-performance culture;
  • Performance evaluations and conversations with SMEs;
  • Stakeholder communication: Proactively communicate drivers of performance and approaches taken to optimize performance;
  • Cross-functional alignment: Work with cross-functional/team leaders and P&L peers to define and prioritise roadmaps to support P&L target achievement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role with end-to-end P&L ownership experience;
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and ability to synthesise data insights;
  • Making informed decisions, often with limited or incomplete data, aligned with business objectives to maximise long-term profit;
  • Proven history of delivering sustainable commercial outcomes from negotiations;
  • Ability to lead cross-domain subject matter experts to drive revenue growth and achieve cost efficiencies;
  • Experience in designing strategic programs and working with stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes;
  • Executing eCommerce trading strategies across pricing, content management, digital marketing, CRM, and front-end optimisation;
  • Building, leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
