Job Title: Product Innovation Manager

We are seeking a skilled and ambitious individual to lead innovation projects in the food industry.

About the role:

  • You will play a key role in delivering innovation projects through our stage gate process, managing them from initial concept through pilot trials and scale-up.
  • Actively contribute to idea generation and strategic planning, bringing culinary expertise and technical insights to the table.
  • Coordinate and run effective meetings, keep clear records, and engage all key stakeholders throughout each stage.
  • Attend customer presentations and visits, lead technical discussions, and provide relevant insights and solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date project pipelines and provide regular updates to the team, flagging any delays and taking action to stay on track.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and technical experts to support innovation and problem-solving.
  • Ensure high standards of food safety, product quality and cleanliness in all work areas.

Experience and skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the food industry, preferably in a high-risk environment
  • BSc in Food Science, Food Technology or a related field
  • In-depth knowledge of nutrition, food safety, meat science and culinary techniques
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and motivate others
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Competent in Word, Excel and Outlook (Intermediate level); Navision experience is a plus
  • Flexible, organised and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
